Were the whole realm of nature mine, that were an offering far to small. Love so amazing, so divine, demands my soul, my life, my all!
Lord crucified,
O mark Thy holy Cross
On motive, preference,
All fond desires;
On that which self
In any form inspires
Set Thou that Sign of loss.
And when the touch of death
Is here and there
Laid on a thing
Most precious in our eyes,
Let us not wonder;
Let us recognize
The answer to this prayer.
Amy Carmichael
'He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose.' Jim Elliot

Pleasing God should be our greatest aim - a goal that simplifies and covers every part of our lives. The question shouldn't be, "Is this thing right or wrong?" The question needs to be, "Is this pleasing to God?" Kay Smith
'There was a day when I died, utterly died, to George Muller and his opinions, preferences, tastes and will; died to the world, its approval or censure; died to the approval or blame of even my brethren and friends; and since then I have studied only to show myself approved unto God.' George Muller
