A Verse to Memorise: You can KNOW you’re going to heaven
Many people struggle with assurance of salvation, which means that they don’t really know for sure whether they are saved and going to heaven.
But the Bible says we can know – that is what the whole book of 1 John was written about:
I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.
1 John 5:13 (NIV)
This is a key verse to memorise because when Christians say they don’t know if they are saved we can tell them that they can know for certain by quoting this verse. Also we can take comfort ourselves!
