Ultimate Blog Party

Ultimate Blog Party 2011
This looks like a bit of fun and a good way to find mom, Christian and other blogs so I’m nervously joining in (I’ve never posted a banner before :))
My blog
I started to blog very recently so it is all still developing, but most of what I am writing about is my Christian faith, mothering, marriage, homemaking and being a woman. My over-arching goal in life is to please God so everything I do and write about will be from that perspective! What really made me start blogging in earnest is when I read Matthew 10:27 which says ‘Whatever I tell you in the dark, speak in the light; and what you hear in the ear, preach on the housetops’. I was challenged by this to share publically what God is teaching me, so that hopefully it might be helpful to some people. I also wanted to find something I could do at home in the evenings to help me be refreshed and also glorify God!
Me
I am English, living in Wales (my real homeland, as I love Wales!), and married to an American missionary who also pastors a church here. I have always wanted to be a missionary so God granted me that desire, just in a different way from how I thought He would, as I didn’t have to learn a language or travel very far! We have three sweet children – Caleb 5, Hope 3 and Josiah 1, and I homeschool. I love books (especially the Bible!), mountains, playing the piano and worship.
Here are some pictures of our family (my daughter only has long hair in one because her brother gave her a haircut recently – not planned!):

Please make yourself at home and have a look around, and leave a comment if you like!

  14. What an lovely family. Isn’t funny how God takes our dreams and makes them His, but with that twist that you never saw coming. I love that about Him.
